ROI Report

Understand the revenue impact of your Synaptiq AI agent with monthly ROI reporting and pipeline value tracking.

ROI Report

The ROI Report gives you a clear picture of the revenue impact your Synaptiq AI agent is generating — qualified leads created, pipeline value added, meetings booked, and estimated return relative to your subscription cost.

Navigate to Admin Dashboard > Analytics > ROI Report to view the report.

What the Report Shows

The ROI Report calculates your AI agent's performance across three key dimensions:

MetricDescription
Pipeline createdTotal deal value of all qualified leads in the period
Meetings bookedNumber of calendar bookings made through the widget
Estimated ROIPipeline created ÷ subscription cost, expressed as a multiplier

The report defaults to the current billing month. Use the date picker to view historical periods.

Pipeline Value Calculation

Pipeline value is calculated by multiplying the number of qualified leads by your average deal size:

Pipeline Value = Qualified Leads × Average Deal Size

For example, if you had 40 qualified leads in a month and your average deal size is $15,000:

Pipeline Value = 40 × $15,000 = $600,000

This is a top-of-funnel estimate. It reflects the potential pipeline Synaptiq added to your funnel, not closed revenue.

Why Pipeline Value Matters

Pipeline value gives you an apples-to-apples comparison against your Synaptiq subscription cost. If you spent $997/month on the Growth plan and generated $600,000 in pipeline, your AI agent is working at 600x return on investment before accounting for your close rate.

Configuring Your Average Deal Size

The ROI Report defaults to $10,000 as the average deal size. Set this to your actual average to get accurate pipeline calculations.

  1. Go to Settings > Analytics > Average Deal Size
  2. Enter your average deal value in dollars
  3. Click Save

The ROI Report recalculates immediately using the new value. Historical periods are recalculated too — the average deal size applies globally, not per period.

Where to find your average deal size:

  • Your CRM's deal analytics (HubSpot: Reports > Sales > Deals > Average Deal Size)
  • Your finance team's ARR per customer
  • A rough estimate based on your pricing (e.g., if your product is $500–2,000/mo, use the midpoint of your typical contract length)

Monthly Report Breakdown

The full monthly ROI report includes:

Summary Cards

  • Total conversations — all conversations in the period
  • Qualified leads — leads that met your threshold
  • Qualification rate — qualified leads ÷ total conversations
  • Meetings booked — calendar bookings through the widget
  • Pipeline created — qualified leads × average deal size
  • Estimated ROI — pipeline created ÷ plan cost

Lead-to-Meeting Funnel

A visual funnel showing conversion at each stage:

Visitors who opened the widget
    ↓ (x%)
Visitors who sent at least one message
    ↓ (x%)
Leads who provided contact info
    ↓ (x%)
Leads who qualified
    ↓ (x%)
Leads who booked a meeting

Each stage shows the absolute count and the conversion rate from the previous stage. Click any stage to see the individual leads at that step.

Day-by-Day Breakdown

A table and chart showing daily qualified leads, meetings booked, and pipeline value. Useful for identifying which days of the week or times of month produce the most high-quality leads.

Compared to Previous Period

The report shows month-over-month comparison for all key metrics:

  • Qualified leads vs. last month
  • Meetings booked vs. last month
  • Pipeline value vs. last month

Benchmark Comparisons

The ROI Report includes industry benchmarks to contextualize your performance:

MetricIndustry AverageTop Quartile
Widget open rate4–6% of page visitors>10%
Conversation-to-lead rate20–30%>40%
Lead qualification rate25–35%>50%
Lead-to-meeting rate15–25%>35%

If you're below the average in a specific stage, Synaptiq surfaces recommendations. For example, a low widget open rate suggests trying proactive triggers to open the chat automatically for engaged visitors.

Exporting the Report

Click Export PDF to download a formatted report suitable for sharing with leadership or investors.

The PDF includes:

  • Executive summary with key metrics and ROI multiplier
  • All charts and tables from the dashboard view
  • Month-over-month comparison
  • Your average deal size and plan cost used in calculations

Click Export CSV to download the underlying data for further analysis in Excel or Google Sheets.

Setting Up Monthly Email Reports

To receive the ROI Report via email at the end of each billing cycle:

  1. Go to Settings > Notifications > Reports
  2. Toggle Monthly ROI Report on
  3. Add recipients (your email is pre-filled; add others as needed)
  4. Click Save

The report emails automatically on the last day of your billing cycle.
